Pixel-Grafx is a desktop web application designed for creating pixel art and graphics. Try
dragging an image, emoji, or text onto the canvas to get started.
(*changing this value will cause all current draw data to be lost!)
Features
For Artists
Start drawing right away on a massive blank canvas. Here, you'll have room to breathe and think outside the box.
For Designers
Easily generate icons, logos, and graphics. You can drag Images, Emojis, and Text directly to the canvas.
Custom Emojis
Create custom graphics with your systems emojis. Here at Pixel-grafx, it's all about emojis, all the time.
Pixelated Text Generator 9000โข
Drag your catch-phrase to the canvas for pixelated text, while choosing your resolution, color, and font (over 1500
fonts are available via Google Fonts).
Using Pixel-Grafx
Navigation
On touch devices, toggle between [Last Mode] and Move Mode with a Double
Tap.
On non-touch devices you can toggle Draw-Lock with a Double Click.
(useful for drawing with trackpads).
On desktop or laptop, press and hold Spacebar for Move Mode.
Ctrl+Wheel zooms the canvas - this action overrides normal browser
zoom. (You can still access the normal zoom with your browser menu or Ctrl+Plus/Minus)
Smart Zoom: aim at an element with your pointer and zoom. The canvas will center on that
point.
Auto Scroll: The canvas will scroll automatically when nearing an edge while drawing,
selecting, or moving objects around.
Selections
Use the Marquee Tool or Magic Wand to
move, cut, copy, and perform various other actions on selected pixels.
Magic Wand selections of less than 50,000 pixels can be moved around the canvas and/or used
as a paintbrush (Mode mode:paint)
Hold Shift to add to your selection, Hit the Broom icon (or ESC)
to deselect. *ESC or Broom clears the entire canvas if no pixels are selected.
Bucket-fill and Selection operations will "go through" single-pixel lines connected at
corners (โ๏ธ) unless the Connected Corners option is unchecked. This includes transparent
pixels connected this way. Use this option together with the Contiguous option to
select/fill exactly the pixels you need.
Importing Media (The People's Pixelatorโข)
The pixelization level and size of all Images, Text, or Emojis that you drag or paste onto
the canvas is controlled by the Input Pixel Size slider. This
value is the granularity at which we analyze the input media, and thus is inversely related
to the resolution of imported graphics.
Use the Regenerate Button to change settings and import the last
graphic with updated values.
You can Drag, Open via file dialog, or Paste media onto the canvas
You can drag media to the preview canvas also.
